How lovely that you’ve found your way into this digital space where I gather all the creative things I’ve collected and created over the past few years.

And a collection it truly is, because collecting happens to be one of my favourite activities and it forms the core of my artistic practice. As an intrinsically curious human being, my creativity is driven by traces of the past, by the things that intrigue me. Things that awaken questions and that can only be answered with more questions.

As a textile artist and designer, I continuously seek to find a balance within my cultural heritage as an “Italobelga” living in Ghent (BE). My story begins with the duality that lives within me: the organised and perfectionist Northern European on one side and the melancholic, romantic and organic Southern European on the other. These two worlds come together in my own little universe, the cosmology of studio scruti.
